How Trikona works
How the numbers are made, and how they are read.
A short account for practitioners: where the positions come from, which choices are yours, and what the interpretation does and does not claim.
The positions
Trikona calculates the planets from JPL's DE440 planetary ephemeris — the same family of data used to navigate spacecraft. Calculations verified against Swiss Ephemeris on 25,000 charts.
A degree you quote to a client should be a degree you never have to take back.
Your choices
Your lineage decides, not the software. Pick the ayanāṃśa you were taught:
Charts can be drawn in South or North Indian style, and your defaults follow you across every client.
The interpretation
Every interpretation follows the classical texts — Bṛhat Parāśara Horāśāstra, the Jaimini Sūtras, Phaladīpikā, Sārāvalī and the standard kāraka tables. When Trikona names a yoga or weighs a factor, it shows the rule it applied and where that rule comes from.
Interpretation is guidance within the tradition, not certainty. Trikona lays out what the texts say about a chart; the judgement — and the conversation with your client — stays yours.
What it does not claim
Readings describe tendencies within the classical tradition, not certainties. They are not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and sensitive matters — health, longevity, other people — are best discussed in general terms.
Your clients' privacy
Client details are encrypted at rest and never sold or used for advertising. You can export your records, or erase a client, whenever you choose.
